provides clinical forensic services for consumers and practitioners in the mental health, addiction and legal systems
throughout Norther New Jersey & the New York Metropolitan area.
Kathryn Dixon, MSW, LCSW, LMSW, DABFC, FACFEI
Kathryn Dixon is the current Vice President of the
New Jersey National Association of Social Workers State Chapter,
and previous chairperson for the NASW-NJ Membership Committee.
She is a member of the Addictions Interest Group and previously served on the Continuing Education Committee. In addition she is a member of the
National Association of Drug Court Professionals, and
Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute.
Kathryn has practiced social work for 20 years in New York, as a Licensed Master Social Worker, and in New Jersey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and teaches as an adjunct professor of Sociology at Bergen Community College. Kathryn is formerly the New Jersey Statewide Drug Court Coordinator, and also served as T.A.S.C. Coordinator (Treatment Assessment Services for the Court) for the Bergen County Family Court.
Kathryn's additional prior experience in direct social work includes NYC child welfare family reunification, high school student assistance counselor (SAC), relief staff for a domestic violence shelter, child and family counseling, and primary therapist in adolescent outpatient and intensive outpatient substance abuse programs,
as well as various experiential and adventure based counseling modalities.
